My first experience in taking landscapes with a little bit of lightning. I always thought to capture lighting should be easy, use a fast shutter speed and be very lucy. Then after some research found out the opposite is true. Use a long shutter speed min of 30 seconds, and hope for the best. You would not be able to get lightning in every shot, it is not possible to determine when the lightning will strike, but you can get a good idea of where.
Lightning with a factory.

Lightning bolt striking in a single place.

Lightning bolt striking multiple places.
